This led to confusion about what was ordered, who paid for it, how much the patient owes, and what the payment deadline is.

Interview with the AMOSYS Team

This process led Dr. Damyan Enchev to get in touch with Galin Berbenkov and Rosen Cholakov. They found the solution that would make communication between dentists and dental technicians easier. The solution turned out to be AMOSYS.

How did the idea for creating such a work system, like the AMOSYS software, come about?
Rosen Cholakov:
Almost two years ago, Damyan and Galin called me and told me about their idea. About the process of creating and processing orders between dental technicians and dentists. How things happen on paper, by phone, by email, with a certain amount of errors. By then the idea had matured, and I liked it. That’s how I joined the emerging team.
Dr. Damyan Enchev:
Initially, the idea was software that connects dental practices and dental laboratories. Seeing what is happening on a global scale — how dental technicians are neglected in this field, and how there are an enormous number of software solutions for dentists, but not for dental technicians. That’s how the software grew into a tool for managing their practice.
What is the main goal of the AMOSYS software, created by your start-up company TEACS?
Galin Berbenkov:
The main goal of AMOSYS is to facilitate the processing of dental laboratory orders. It also provides the opportunity for better and more effective communication between the dental technician and the dentist. AMOSYS makes the process between the two parties transparent and crystal clear. This helps avoid cases where there is a lack of communication between the two parties. As Damyan mentioned earlier — it is not clear who needs to do what, when to do it, and at what price. That is the main goal of AMOSYS.

What is the profile of the potential user of the AMOSYS software?
Galin Berbenkov:
Before we started developing the AMOSYS software, we conducted a fairly extensive survey. We asked dental technicians what their needs are in their day-to-day work. We found that they do not use digital software and have a serious need for one to simplify and automate part of their work. We are currently actively promoting in the Bulgarian market as well as in Germany and England. We are looking forward to the COVID-19 pandemic ending so that we can meet our future partners in person at forums and trainings.
What is the potential user’s habit?
Rosen Cholakov:
As Galin said, at the beginning surveys were conducted and opinions were gathered from key people in the industry. This way the AMOSYS software meets exactly the needs of its future clients. The main challenge we face is habit — people are convinced they need such a platform, but they still cannot break away from their old way of working. It just takes time.
Galin Berbenkov:
AMOSYS is aimed at both large and small dental laboratories, as well as dental practices. The idea is that a dental technician can connect with all their clients through the AMOSYS cloud space, and every dentist — with their dental technicians.
Can I use the AMOSYS software on my mobile phone?
Dr. Damyan Enchev:
Every successful business in the world uses services of the Software as a Service (SaaS) type — software as a service. This is a cloud technology accessible from anywhere: from a phone, tablet, or even a TV. This means that at any time we can access and manage our work.
What are the benefits for AMOSYS users?
One of the main benefits is the so-called handshake — if someone makes changes to the order, the other party must confirm them for the process to continue. Another important benefit is order traceability: every status can be tracked — from the dental clinic to the dental laboratory. The interactive dental chart shows not only the position of the restoration and its type, but also the material and the shade range, to choose the exact product.

Galin Berbenkov:
The main advantage of AMOSYS is that it facilitates communication between the dentist and the dental technician and reduces errors in fulfilling orders in an intuitive and interactive way. With the help of digital technologies, both parties save time, focusing on their core goals — high-quality work and satisfied patients.
How many key points can we highlight about the benefits and goals of the software?
Rosen Cholakov:
These are transparency in communication, traceability of processes, saving time and resources, as well as digitization of administration. AMOSYS guarantees personal data protection (GDPR) and offers an affordable subscription price — attractive for the entire sector.
What access levels does AMOSYS offer?
Galin Berbenkov:
AMOSYS offers two main modules — for dental technicians and dentists. Through them, the two parties interact, and each module has its own profiles. Large laboratories can have administrator and user profiles for many dental technicians, while small ones — one shared profile. A mirror principle is also applied for dental practices.
Can dentists upload photos?
Galin Berbenkov:
Yes, when placing an order, dentists can upload files: photos, videos, or 3D CAD/CAM files (STL, OBJ, PLY). The dental technician can view them in real time or download and process them in specialized software.
What is the main functionality of AMOSYS?
Rosen Cholakov:
The main functionality is processing orders to dental laboratories, complemented by support for materials, nomenclatures, profiles, and a chat function. The system records every action and message, ensuring full traceability and transparency of communication.

Where is AMOSYS positioned in the software market for dental technicians and dentists?
Galin Berbenkov:
We are focusing not only on Bulgaria, but also on other countries. Our priorities are Germany and England. We also have established contacts with our Chinese partners.
What additional features can AMOSYS software users expect in the future?
Galin Berbenkov:
In the very near future, we plan to implement an invoicing module. It will allow dental technicians to issue invoices directly through the system, generate PDF or Excel documents, as well as print and send them to clients. We are also preparing the creation of a task manager — a feature that will enable task assignment through an interactive calendar, integrated with popular email services. This way, each practice will be able to track which dental technician is working on which part of the order, and when dentists can expect its completion.
Rosen Cholakov:
